Highly versatile. Maximum riding excitement.
Offering a unique package comprising long-travel suspension & sporty 17” wheels, a slim, upright riding position and a compact Parallel-Twin engine tuned for low-mid range torque, the Versys 650 was designed to maximise rider enjoyment on the street – especially when the roads get twisty. The addition of rider support technology like KTRC contributes to the high level of rider confidence in a wide range of street-riding situations.
649 cc Liquid-Cooled, 4-Stroke Parallel Twin
Optimised for gratifying response in everyday riding situations, the exciting 649 cc Parallel Twin engine offers a smooth, linear response, strong low-mid range torque and favourable fuel economy.Non-current colour shown
Long-Travel Suspension and 17" Wheels
Not all streets in the real world are made of circuit-smooth pavement. Road imperfections (bumps, potholes) are far from rare, and some streets are not even paved (such as cobblestone, etc). While the Versys 650 was not designed for off-road use, its long-travel front fork and rear shock were specially selected to cope with a wide variety of street conditions, and, along with its 17” wheels, enable sporty riding. Further, the long-travel suspension provides an added dimension of controllability: the ability to consciously control the bike’s front-rear weight transfer gives riders an additional riding element to explore.Non-current colour shown
Slim, Upright Riding Position
Slim, upright position and wide handlebars offer a naturally relaxed posture and high controllability.Overseas model shown with optional Kawasaki accessories fitted. Non-current colour.
Kawasaki Traction Control
Kawasaki’s advanced traction control system provides both enhanced sport riding performance and the peace of mind under certain conditions to negotiate low-traction surfaces with confidence. Two modes allow riders to adjust settings to suit the riding situation and rider preference.Overseas model shown with optional Kawasaki accessories fitted. Non-current colour.
Capable adventure partner
Complementing updates to the upper cowl and windshield that offer increased wind protection for greater rider comfort on longer rides, a new 4.3” full-colour instrumentation with smartphone connectivity allows riders to connect with their machine like never before, adding to a richer motorcycle lifestyle.
TFT Colour Instrumentation with Smartphone Connectivity
The compact 4.3” all-digital TFT colour instrumentation gives the cockpit a high-tech, high-grade appearance. The meter also offers additional features unavailable on the previous model, including smartphone connectivity.
Four-position adjustable windshield
Together with the redesigned upper cowl, the windshield offers increased wind protection, contributing to greater rider comfort and adding to the Versys 650’s potential as a capable touring partner. The windshield’s total range of adjustability is approximately 80 mm, with the four positions spaced at 27 mm intervals. Its four positions can conveniently be adjusted from the rider’s seat. Designed in the wind tunnel, an accessory large windshield (100 mm taller) offers excellent wind protection.
USB Outlet (Accessory)
Complementing the accessory DC outlet, an accessory USB outlet features dual-covers for high water resistance. Both power sources can be built into the cockpit’s inner cover, where they would be ideally positioned for charging accessories or personal itemsNon-current colour shown
Panniers & Top Case (Accessory)
A 210 kg payload is plenty for carrying a passenger and luggage. The Versys 650 is able to accommodate both a top case and panniers simultaneously. Accessory panniers (28 litres, 5 kg max each) can each hold a full-face helmet. Kawasaki original-design accessory top case is rated for 5 kg, and with its 47-litre volume is large enough to fit two full-face helmets.Non-current colour shown
Numerous Accessories for More Comfortable Touring
LED fog lamps offer significantly increased illumination. Smoked windshields (available in standard and tall sizes) add to the bike’s sporty image. Revised hand covers offer increased wind protection, which translates to added comfort when riding in cold weather – especially when combined with the accessory grip heaters (now with an integrated ON/OFF switch). In addition to the 47-litre accessory top case, a 42-litre (5 kg max) top case is also available.Non-current colour shown
Strong Versys family looks
Like the Versys 1000, the Versys 650 features an emotional design to charm the rider. The much more flowing styling features a clear line of colour traceable from the front of the bike to the rear. A balanced use of colour and materials emphasises the functional beauty of the bike’s individual parts and the sculpted bodywork shaped with rider comfort in mind.
Latest Versys Family Styling
Inspired by the Versys 1000, the refreshed design of the upper cowl and surrounding bodywork gives the Versys 650 the latest Versys family “face,” and conveys a strong Kawasaki identity.Non-current colour shown
Modern symmetry
Complementing its LED taillight, LED headlights add symmetry to the Versys 650’s “face.” LED turn signals add a modern touch, contributing to the bike’s good looks.
